At the age of 17, Gordon enlisted in the United States Navy and served on the U.S.S. He has successfully argued cases in Texas appellate courts and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in all Texas courts, all federal courts in the Eastern, Southern, and Northern, Districts of Texas, the Western District of Louisiana, the United States Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.

National law firms and corporations retain Gordon to serve as their local counsel because of his vast knowledge and trial experience. Individuals and corporations call upon him to represent them in cases involving serious injuries and significant damages.
